The World Football Academy name and reputation were built on a foundation of trust. This WFA Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how WFA and its subsidiaries and affiliated companies (“WFA”) collects, uses and discloses personal information of customers through our websites and online services, including worldfootballacademyusa.com, and other WFA owned or operated websites and online services that link to this policy (collectively, the “Sites”), through our programs and during our physical events (“Services”). This Policy does not apply to websites and services that display or link to different privacy statements. Websites and services co-branded with other partners may display or link to a joint privacy statement or separate privacy statements of our partners in addition to our Policy.

Fulfilment of products and services

We collect and maintain personal information that you voluntarily submit to us during your use of the Sites and/or our Services, including registering on our Sites.

Personal Information that may be collected by WFA may include:

  • Name, postal address, phone number, and e-mail address.
  • Financial account information, such as credit card number and other payment information.

We use the contact and payment details you have provided to us so that we can fulfil the supply of products and services you have ordered from our Sites, or in our shops. This includes your purchase of products, your attendance at events hosted by us or our third party partners and the processing of returns and refunds.

We will share your personal information with the following categories of third parties:
  • To verify card payments and process refunds – credit card companies and other payment providers;
  • To deliver products and process returns – delivery and courier companies.

What is our legal basis?

It is necessary for us to use your personal information to perform our obligations in accordance with any contract that we may have with you.

Customer support

Our Sites and our shops use various user interfaces to allow you to request information about our products and services: these include printed and electronic enquiry forms and a telephone enquiry service. Your contact information may be requested in each case, together with details of other personal information that is relevant to your customer service enquiry. This information is used in order to enable us to respond to your requests.

We use this information to help us improve the quality of service provided by our staff and in our shops. We also use your feedback to monitor the quality of our products and services and to assist us with the selection of future product and service lines.

Customer insight and analysis

We analyse your contact details and other personal information that we collect about you such as your interests and demographic information together with personal information that we obtain from observing your interactions with our Sites, our email communications to you and/or with our products and services in our shop, such as the products and services you have purchased or viewed, or from your participation in our live events.

Where we have your consent to do so, we will also use your location data collected by us via our mobile application.

Where you have given your consent (where lawfully required), we use cookies, log files and other similar technologies to collect personal information from the computer hardware and software you use to access the Sites, or from your mobile. This includes the following:
  • an IP address to monitor Sites traffic and volume;
  • a session ID to track usage statistics on our Sites;
  • information regarding your personal or professional interests, demographics, buying habits, experiences with our products and contact preferences.

Our web pages and e-mails contain cookies or pixel tags (“Tags“). Tags allow us to track receipt of an e-mail to you, to count users that have visited a web page, opened an e-mail and to collect other types of aggregate information. Once you click on an e-mail that contains a Tag, your contact information may subsequently be cross-referenced to the source e-mail and the relevant Tag.

In some of our e-mail messages, we use a click-through URL linked to certain websites administered by us or on our behalf. We may track click-through data to assist in determining interest in particular topics and measure the effectiveness of these communications.

The personal information described in this section is used to create profiles and insights about your shopping habits and the shopping habits of our other customers. By using this information, we are able to measure the effectiveness of our content and how visitors use our Sites and our Services. This allows us to learn what pages of our Sites are most attractive to our visitors, which parts of our Sites are the most interesting and what kind of offers our users like to see.
We also use this information to help us with the selection of future product and service lines and the design of our Sites and Services.

Where your personal information is not in an anonymous form, it is in our legitimate interest to use your personal information in such a way to ensure that we provide the very best products and services to you and our other customers.
We will only use location data collected by us via our mobile application where we have your consent to do so.

Marketing communications

We carry out the following marketing activities using your personal information:

Email marketing
We use information that we observe about you from your interactions with our Sites, our email communications to you and/or with our products and services in our shops (see the Customer Insight and Analysis section above for more details of the information collected and how it is collected) to send you marketing communications by email, where you have consented to receive such marketing communications.

Where your personal information is completely anonymised, we do not require a legal basis to use it for marketing analysis as the personal information will no longer constitute personal information that is regulated under applicable data protection laws. Where your personal information is not in an anonymous form, it is in our legitimate interest to use your personal information for personalised marketing purposes.

We will only send you marketing communications via email where you have consented to receive such marketing communications.

Business administration and legal compliance

We use your personal information for the following business administration and legal compliance purposes:

  • to enforce our legal rights;

Personal Information that may be collected by WFA may include:

  • Name, postal address, phone number, and e-mail address.
  • Financial account information, such as credit card number and other payment information.

  • If you create an account – your username, password, your city of birth, your birthday and mobile phone number.
  • If you participate in our events or through our programs or otherwise – what you buy, where you buy, how frequently you buy and certificates you earn.
  • If you take a survey or interact with us in various other ways – demographics information and information about subjects that may interest you.

We may automatically collect website use information when you visit our Sites. This information may include information about your Internet service provider, your operating system, browser type, domain name, Internet protocol (IP) address, your access times, the website that referred you to us, the Web pages you request, and the date and time of those requests. Our collection of website use information may involve the use of cookies and Web beacons. Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive by a website to, among other things, help us improve our Sites and your experience. In addition, this Site uses Targeting or Advertising cookies to see which areas and features are popular and to count visits to our Sites. These cookies are used by third parties such as social networks and advertisers to provide services in return for recognizing that you have visited our Site. They are usually placed by advertising networks with the website operator’s permission. They remember that you have visited our Sites and this information is shared with third party organizations such as advertisers. Web beacons are electronic images that may be used on our Sites or in our emails. WFA may also collect aggregated data or anonymized data that does not directly identify you.


WFA may use information about you for purposes described in this Policy or disclosed to you on our Sites or with our Services. For example, we may use information about you to:

  • Process and manage your purchase and use of WFA products and services, including your accounts and program participation.
  • Respond to your customer service inquiries, post your comments or statements on any blog or other online forum maintained on our Sites, or take other actions in response to your inquiries or other Site activities.
  • Create personalized promotions by combining your personal information with non personal information about you, such as the amounts and types of purchases you make or any benefits you receive through our programs.
  • Communicate with you about your orders or purchases, your services, accounts and program participation, a contest or sweepstakes you have entered, and your requests for information.
  • Communicate with you about our brands, products, events or other promotional purposes, including co-branded offers and affiliate and partner offers.



WFA shares your personal information in limited ways.

  • We may share personal information about you with others with your consent.
  • We may also share information with companies that provide support services to us (such as credit card processors, mailing houses or website hosts) and that help us market our products and services (such as email vendors). These companies may use information about you to perform their functions on our behalf.
  • We may disclose specific information (i) upon lawful request, in response to legal process, and when required to comply with laws, (ii) to enforce our agreements, corporate policies, and terms of use or (iii) to protect the rights, property or safety of WFA, our employees, agents, customers, and others.
  • If you participate in any blog or other online forum on our Sites, any personal information that you post on our Sites may be shared with other forum participants and Site visitors.
  • In the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets or any other situation involving the transfer of some or all of our business assets, WFA may disclose personal information to those involved in the negotiation or transfer.

We may also share aggregated or anonymized information that does not directly identify you.



WFA offers choices for you to request to update or change your personal information and how we communicate with you. Here are some of the ways you can request changes:

  • Follow the opt-out instructions in promotional emails we send you.
  • Log in to your WFA account, if you have one, and visit the profile management section to manage your contact information (SMS text, email and postal address) preferences and to update your personal information.

If you opt out of receiving promotional communications from us, we may still send you non-promotional communications such as emails about your accounts or our ongoing business relations.

You can usually choose to set your browser to warn you when a cookie is being sent or to remove or reject cookies. Each browser is a little different, so look at your browser Help menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookie settings. If you choose to remove or reject cookies, it will affect many features or Services on our Sites.



WFA takes reasonable steps to maintain appropriate physical, technical and administrative security to help prevent loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure or modification of personal information.

While we take these reasonable efforts to safeguard your personal information, no system or transmission of data over the Internet or any other public network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.



We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do so, we will post the new privacy policy on this page and change the date at the top of the policy. We encourage you to check the date of our privacy policy when you visit this Site for any updates or changes. We will notify you of any modified versions of the privacy policy that might materially affect the way we use or disclose your personal information.
